Kinds of Penguins

Penguins are divided into 6 groups that contain 15-18 species. The largest penguins are the Emperor and the King Penguin. The brush tailed penguins are the Adelie, Chinstrap, and the Gentoo Penguin. The warm weather penguins are the Galapagos penguin, the Blackfoot (or Jackass) Penguin, the Peruvian (or Humboldt) Penguin, and the Magellanic Penguin. The crested penguins groupis the largest group of penguins there is the Macaroni Penguin, the Rockhoper Penguin,  the Royal Penguin, the Erect-Crested Penguin, the Snares Island Crested Penguin, and finally the Fiordland Penguin. The  Yellow-eyed Penguin is all by itself in one group called The Yellow-eyed Penguin group. The fairy penguin group has only two species of penguins called the Little Blue (or Fairy) and the White Flippered Penguin.
